According to our sources in the Hungarian movie industry two major science-fiction projects will be filmed in Hungary in 2012: Luna and Ender’s Game.
Luna, directed by Doug Liman (producer of the Bourne movies) is „An action story centered on a group of renegade employees who venture to the moon to steal an energy source.” According to IMDB rumored cast members are Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, Megan Fox and Andrew Garfield.

Ender’s Game movie has a long history. The author of the original novel, Orson Scott Card vetoed seven scripts but in the end the shooting got the go ahead. A 100 day long shooting period was planned in a Hungarian studio in summer 2012.
Rumor has it that the fifth istallment of the Die Hard series will also be filmed in Hungary.
Hungary has a growing popularity in the movie industry – a lot of productions have been filmed in Hungarian studios, for example 47 Ronin with Keanu Reeves or In the land of Blood and Honey with Angelina Jolie a few month ago. World War Z is shooting right now in Budapest with Brad Pitt.
